so far = up to now so far =/= until now Until implies that an opposite situation has occurred against the period before that suggested by "until". In this sense

Berlin and Rome. does not make sense. What can possibly be the opposite of "have been to Stockholm

so far 可以解作「咁耐以來」，until now 可以解釋為「到目前為止」，所以前者有繼續嘅意思，後者表示已經停止。
