1、afford指為壹定的目的而“給”“提供”所需要的東西； give指無需償還地把金錢、物品、時間、麻煩等有形或無形的東西“送給”“授予”“供給”某人； p
rovide主要指為某人、某物或某事“提供”“供應”某物品，尤指生活必需品； supply指用物“供給”“供應”或“提供”給國家、群眾、工廠、城市、市場等，以部隊為對象時，往往只供給生活必需品，而不指武器。例如：
