創作背景：
歌曲由兩位紐約布魯克林的創作者——安吉拉·亨特和珍妮·塞維爾出於對家鄉的思念之情而創作。
2009年2月，兩人在壹次海外旅途中分享了她們的思鄉情感，並簡單寫下了這首歌曲以表對家鄉的渴望。
壹個月後，她們將歌曲秘密送到了Roc Nation唱片公司，希望Jay Z能夠采納這首歌曲，但卻受到了負面的評價。
之後在壹次聚會上，EMI唱片的Jon "Big Jon" Platt聽到了歌曲，並在之後將歌曲送到了Jay Z手上。
在聽過後Jay Z喜歡上了這首歌曲，他保留了歌曲的副歌部分，並立即錄制了歌曲。
而當被詢問到演唱副歌部分的合適人選時，亨特推薦了艾麗西亞·凱斯 。
