might的用法有表示允許，表示推測等；短語有might as well、might have known等。
1、might?is?right.強權即公理。
2、might as well.倒不如;可以;就如同;會和...壹樣。
3、pigs might fly.無稽之談。
4、might have known.就知道。
5、might have guessed.就知道。
6、表示請求允許(即請求別人允許自己做某事)，兩者都可用，只是might表示的語氣較委婉(但並不表示過去)。
7、表示給予允許(即自己允許別人做某事)，只用能may而不能用might。
8、在句型使用方面: may通常用於肯定句或否定陳述句，壹般不用於疑問句(疑問句中用can,參見can)，而might 則可用於肯定句、否定句或疑問句。
