洛·史都華（Rod Stewart）於1945年1
月10日出生於倫敦，本名 Roderick David
Stewart。豆沙般的嗓音，桀驁不馴的舞臺
形象，源源不斷的創作靈感構成了搖滾巨星
Rod Stewart。Rod在樂壇經歷了三個不同年
代，他的歌路變化從60年代的藍調與爵士過
度到70年度的流行搖滾，即使到了80年代，
他的新潮表現也不落後於任何其他歌手之後，
更沒有顯出因年齡的限制而限制了歌路的發
展。
Rod於63年加入Five Oimensions樂隊，
擔任口琴伴奏。期間他參加過Hoochie Coo-
chie樂隊，作過Steampacscet的成員、Long
John Baldry的主唱，同時也是Faces的焦點
人物。1971年，Rod以專輯《Every Picture
Tells A Story》壹舉成名，其中《Maggie
May》膾炙人口，傳唱至今。 而當77年的專
輯《Foot Loose And Fancy Frce》 壹經推
出，Rod Stenart的大名便趨家喻戶嘵之勢。
其中《Hot Legs》、《You're In My Heart
》、《You're Got A Werre》以及《I Was
Only Joking》被公認為超水平之作， 接著
的《Do Ya Think I'm Sexy》 使Rod在商業
成就上沖到了最高峰。
進入九十年代的Rod也不甘寂寞。 93全
新輯錄新歌加精選專集 《Lead Vocalist》
經典之作疊出，並顯現出與昔不同的樂曲風
格，減少了昔日的Spontanerty， 而加重了
Pop的萬分，因而作品更具價值。
Rod曾經說過， 他要象足球明星壹樣在
顛峰時期找壹個合適的機會“退隱江湖”，
可是直至今天，他在樂壇激起的浪潮仍壹波
