explain的基本意思是解釋,說明，指把對方不知道、不理解的事以易懂的方式加以說明,使其清楚、明白。
用法
1、用作及物動詞時，賓語可以是名詞、代詞，也可以是帶疑問詞的動詞不定式或that從句，還可以是反身代詞，說明自己的意思、動機或行為。
例如：Please explain the meaning of the poem.請說明這首詩的意思。
I will try to explain the situation as I see it.我將試著根據我自己的看法講壹講形勢。
2、用作不及物動詞
例如：When you are wrong,don't explain.錯了,妳不用解釋。
