Our authorized third party monitor, STR-RS, has recently inspected your factory. On behalf of Office Depot, I wish to thank you for your cooperation and assistance in the verification of the standards set forth in the Office Depot Purchase Order Terms and Supplier Guiding Principles. Office Depot is committed to source goods and services only from persons and firms that have achieved internationally recognized standards and practices in dealing with their workers and their working environment.

As a result of STR-RS’s current assessment, it has been determined that your facility needs improvement in the areas described on the accompanying audit report summarized under Concerns section. Because the facility received a Minor Progress Needed, STR-RS will need to conduct a re-audit of the facility within 12 months. STR-RS will send an invoice approximately two months prior to the upcoming re-audit date. Payment of this invoice is required prior to scheduling the re-audit.

As a condition of doing business with Office Depot we require you to provide an action plan detailing the intended steps your company will employ to correct these violations and provide evidence within 5 days of receipt of this notification on the Office Depot Corrective Action Plan (CAP) form. Failure to correct and comply with our Supplier Guiding Principles will disqualify your facility from receiving additional Office Depot purchase orders.

Your signature will be considered your continued commitment to comply with and participate in Office Depot’s evaluation program. We intend to re-assess your factory within 12 months. This follow up audit will be at your expense. A response with details will be provide upon receipt of your corrective action plan.
