烏龜和老鷹的故事原文閱讀
壹只烏龜，不滿足於自己的地面生活，很羨慕鳥兒能在空中玩耍，於是便請求老鷹教他飛翔。老鷹勸他，這是他的壹個白日夢，因為大自然並沒有賦予他可以飛翔的翅膀。可是烏龜再三懇求，還用珍寶利誘老鷹，壹再堅持這只是壹個了解如何在空中飛翔的問題。於是，老鷹為了滿足烏龜的願望，壹把抓起他，帶著烏龜飛到壹定高度後，就松開了鷹爪，而烏龜則落在了巖石上，被摔得粉身碎骨。

THE TORTOISE AND THE EAGLE
A Tortoise, discontented with his lowly life, and envious of the birds he saw disporting themselves in the air, begged an Eagle to teach him to fly. The Eagle protested that it was idle for him to try, as nature had not provided him with wings; but the Tortoise pressed him with entreaties and promises of treasure, insisting that it could only be a question of learning the craft of the air. So at length the Eagle consented to do the best he could for him, and picked him up in his talons. Soaring with him to a great height in the sky the then let him go. And the wretched Tortoise fell headlong and was dashed to pieces on a rock.
