1、語言表達要簡潔

2、明確應聘崗位信息和招聘渠道

3、語言客觀實際
英文求職信中應避免自己的主觀判斷性的語言和評論性的話語,不要過分渲染自我,尤其不要說出與事實不符的能力或特性來。可以在自己的簡歷當中用客觀的`數字和引述別人的話語來描述自己的實際情況。
4、重視開頭、結尾
在求職信的結尾,我們通常要提及關於希望得到面試的事情,因此,結尾很重要,在表達自己的這樣的意願的時候,切忌軟弱、羞怯的表達方式,例如:If you think I can fill the position after you have read my letter, I shall be glad to talk with you。
5、表現個人特色。
求職的信要具個人特色、親切且能體現出專業水平。切不可過於隨意,也不能拘泥於格式,句子結構和長度應富於變化,使閱信人總保持興趣。內容、語氣、用詞的選擇和對希望的表達要積極,應該充分顯示出妳是壹個樂觀、有責任心、有創造力和通情達理的人。
另外,細節問題很重要,比如紙張的選用,壹般采用品質優良的A4打印紙,正文用打印機打印出來。信件的結尾處簽名必須是自己的手寫簽名。
