The spelling short list is used in American English and sometimes in British English for the noun. 用作名詞時，美國英語中可拼作 short list，英國英語中有時可拼作short list。
1. N-COUNT (獲取某工作或獎項的)入圍名單，候選名單 If someone is on a shortlist, for example for a job or a prize, they are one of a small group of people who have been chosen from a larger group. The successful person is then chosen from the small group.
If you've been asked for an interview you are probably on a short list of no more than six.

2. VERB 把…列入入圍名單;把…列入候選名單;提名 If someone or something is shortlisted fora job or a prize, they are put on a shortlist.
