妳要註意puzzle與下面幾個詞的區別
puzzle perplex confuse bewilder
都含“使困惑不解”的意思。
puzzle 指“情況錯宗復雜, 因而使人感到困惑不解”,
如:What he did puzzled me greatly.
他的作為使我深感迷惑不解。
perplex 較正式, 除含有puzzle 的意思外, 還側重“心情的困惑和行動的不決, 不知如何辦”,
如:His face was perplexed;he went away.
他的臉色看起來茫然, 然後就走了。
confuse指“把事物混淆或弄亂“或“由於混淆、混亂而糊塗”, 語氣較弱, 常指暫時現象,
如:They asked me so many questions that they confused me.
他們問了我那麽多的問題都把我搞迷糊了。
bewilder 指“由於迷惑不解或驚愕而慌亂、糊塗和不知所措”, 語氣比前兩個詞都強,
如:The old woman from the country was bewildered by the crowds and traffic in the big city.
從農村來的那個老太太被大城市的人流和交通搞得茫然不知所措。
