As fast as thou shalt wane, so fast thou grow’st,
In one of thine, from that which thou departest;
And that fresh blood which youngly thou bestow’st,
Thou mayst call thine when thou from youth convertest.
Herein lives wisdom, beauty and increase;
Without this, folly, age and cold decay:
If all were minded so, the times should cease
And threescore year would make the world away.
Let those whom Nature hath not made for store,
Harsh, featureless and rude, barrenly perish:
Look,whom she best endow’d she gave the more;
Which bounteous gift thou shouldst in bounty cherish:
She carv’d thee for her seal, and meant thereby
Thou shouldst print more, nor let that copy die.

快快的妳衰老，正如妳快快的成長，
衰老也好，生長也罷，總將走向天堂。
當妳由年輕轉向垂老，
常常想召回妳那血氣方剛。
是不是所有的人都會領悟到，
生活中，充滿智慧，美麗昂揚，
沒有了這些，壹切都變得愚笨，醜陋和蒼涼，時間也會凝滯，
六十年後，世界會變成壹片洪荒，
讓造物主無心留存的壹切，
讓它們，面目醜惡，愚昧，乃至徹底消亡。
看上蒼會賞賜給她的寵兒很多，很多，
妳可要珍愛她慷慨的賜賞。
她總想把妳雕刻成像她的玉璽，那意味著，
妳要多多的“蓋印”，切記：“拷貝”莫失莫忘。

原詩：As fast as thou shalt wane, so fast thou grow’st,
In one of thine, from that which thou departest;
有人譯為：和妳壹樣快的衰老，妳的兒子也將壹樣快在世界生長起來。
? 何來“妳的兒子”？有人說第2句的one
of thine就是“妳的兒子”，沒有根據啊，退壹萬步說，就算是“妳的兒子”，第二句後半句的thou
departest作何解釋，為什麽漏譯了。譯詩不可胡亂想象，更不可抄襲他人，權威的詩句。
? 其實，莎翁的意思很明確。
? 第壹句就是衰老和生長同樣是很快的。有些人也是這樣譯的。
? 第二句的one of thine，只能是指第壹句中的“衰老和生長”，別無其它可解釋的，後面的depart指“離去，死亡”。
? 綜合第1,2句，莎翁詩意簡單明朗：衰老和生長壹樣快，最終要走向死亡。
[if !supportLists]二、[endif]第3，4句
有人譯作：妳青春是投註下的新鮮血液，到妳老時，便有了妳原來的面目。如果將when引導的狀語從句前置，整理它成為：
When thou from youth convertest .Thou mayst call that fresh blood whichyouth thou bestow’st.
讀者就容易理解了。
這裏有壹個關鍵詞，bestow 壹般用作，使用，灌註。但在詞典中還有[古]貯藏的意思。那麽fresh blood which youngly thou
bestow直譯為：“妳年輕時貯藏的新鮮血液”，就可以簡譯為“血氣方剛”。
[if !supportLists]三、[endif]第5~8句
應把第7句的 If all were minded so 放到第5句的句首。詩句才通順，不然的話，7,8句就不可理喻了。這也是莎翁常用的“倒裝句”，譯詩時要把它順過來，不然就不通了。
