影片中用了兩個英文單字來描述紙飛機：paper airplane 和 paper aircraft，這邊要註意的是 aircraft 的意思更為廣泛，用來指「飛行器」，所以不論是「飛機」airplane 或「直升機」helicopter 都可以算是 aircraft 喔！那麽，又要怎麽形容「丟」紙飛機這個動作呢？壹般我們會用 throw 這個單字喔。舉個例子：

紙巾的英文是 paper towel，是由 paper 和 towel（毛巾）兩個字組合而成，要註意的是 paper towel 比較厚，也是可數名詞，和「衛生紙」toilet paper 或 toilet tissue 是不壹樣的，可別搞混了喔！看看 paper towel 的例句吧：
Could you please grab some paper towels when stopping by the store today? We seem to have run out of them.（妳今天順道去商店時能買壹點紙巾嗎？我們似乎已經用完了。）

紙鈔紙鈔的英文除了可以用較正式的 banknote、bill 之外，也可以用相當口語的 paper money 喔！舉個例子：
I am afraid that I have no coins left in my pocket. Would you mind if I use paper money?（我口袋裏恐怕沒有任何硬幣了。妳介意我用紙鈔嗎？）

紙老虎紙老虎的英文是 paper tiger，和中文壹樣是隱喻（metaphor）的用法。有趣的是，這個單字是直接從中文直譯成英文的，也牽扯到壹段 1950 年代中國和美國在政治上抗爭的歷史，當時中國用這個詞來諷刺外強中幹的美國。壹起來看個例子吧：
Don’t be terrified of Kevin. He is just a paper tiger trying to look tough!（別被 Kevin 嚇著了。他只是壹只虛張聲勢的紙老虎！）
像紙壹樣薄的Paper-thin 這個字是由名詞 paper 加上 thin（薄的）組成的復合形容詞，如字面壹樣，意思就是「像紙壹樣薄的、極薄的」。

紙的動詞除了當名詞外，妳知道 paper 這個字也能作動詞使用嗎？意思是「貼上壁紙」，舉個例子：
Look how dilapidated the room is! The landlord didn’t even bother to paper it.（看看這房間有多破爛！房東甚至連壁紙都沒貼上。）
不過這個用法在國外比較少用了，也可以更直接地說 cover the walls with wallpaper，意思是「在墻上貼壁紙」。
此外，paper 衍伸出來的動詞片語 paper over 則有「掩蓋（問題或是分歧）」的意思，來看個例子：
