prefer: 動詞，意思為“更喜歡，寧願，寧可”，表示個人的壹種心理傾向。
prefer 後可接名詞、代詞、不定式、動名詞作賓語。
1. prefer+名詞/代詞“寧願，更喜歡”
He coms from Shanghai, so he prefers rice.他來自上海，因此他更喜歡米飯。
2. prefer doing sth = prefer to do“更喜歡做某事，寧願做某事”
I prefer to stay at home= | prefer staying at home.我寧願呆在家裏。
3. prefer sb to do “願意某人做某事”
I prefer you to go at once. 我倒希望妳馬上走。
4. prefer A to B prefer (doing) A to (doing) B“相比較B來說，更喜歡A。(更喜歡前者)”
My father prefers tea to coffee.比起咖啡，我父親更喜歡茶。
prefer watching TV to going out.我寧願看電視也不出去。
5. prefer to do A rather than do B=prefer to do A rather than doing B
“寧願做。。。而不做”(喜歡做A，不喜歡做B)
I prefer to stay at home rather than go to see a film.=l prefer to stay at home rather than going to see a film.
我寧願在家呆著也不出去看電影。
6. prefer +that從句“寧願”(從句用虛擬語氣)
I prefer that someone else should do this.我覺得還是讓別人來做這件事比較好。
