demand的用法：
demand的基本意思是“要求做到”“要求得到”。作“要求做到”解時,指強硬地,斷然地要求; 作“要求得到”解時,指要求得到某種應該得到、必須得到或強烈希望得到的東西。demand的語氣較重,含有“理直氣壯的,不容拒絕的,強求的,催促的”等意味。引申可表示“想要知道,查問,盤問,質問,詢問”等意思。
demand用作及物動詞,作“要求”解時,其主語通常為人,賓語可以是名詞、代詞、帶to的動詞不定式或that從句; 作“需要”解時,其主語通常為事〔物〕,賓語壹般是“時間”“耐心”等抽象名詞; 作“查問”解時,可接名詞、wh-從句,也可引出直接引語。demand用作不及物動詞時常與介詞for連用,表示“要求”。
