大家早上好。我今天跟大家談談世界上大片區域是怎樣受工業汙染而被破壞的。很多地方的環境受到破壞，大量的動植物都死亡了。這樣的情形實在很糟糕。很多工廠都在排放大量的有毒化學物質。由工廠制造出來的廢物進入大氣中，導致我們生病。其他各類的廢物則流入水域。現在的汙染情形很嚴重，眾多的河流都充滿了化學物質，這些含有化學物質的河水繼而流進海洋，殺死海洋生物。
In addition, many sea creatures are being wiped out by fishing boats. These boats catch large numbers of fish without giving them time to lay eggs. This will have a lasting effect upon the number of fish left for us to eat.
此外，捕撈船正在將大量的海洋生物趕盡殺絕。這些捕撈船捕撈大量的魚類，根本不讓它們有產卵的時間。這種做法對存活下來供我們食用的魚類的數量將產生持久的影響。
While we damage our environment, we keep producing more and more people who need more land to live on and more food to eat! The world’s population has grown to more than six times what it was in 1800. The figure is now approaching 6.5 billion people!
在我們毀壞環境的同時，我們仍在生育越來越多的人口 他們需要更多的土地來居住，需要更多的食物來食用！目前的世界人口與1800年相比已經增長到那時的六倍多，這個數字已接近65億！
My suggestion is that we would try to cut back on production and reduce the amount of things we make and buy. The amount of rubbish we produce is turning into a big problem; we need to think more about recycling. It would be beneficial to expand our recycling industry, and teach people about environmentally friendly ways of living. We may even create more jobs and help the economy at the same time.
我的建議是，我們應當盡量削減生產，減少制造和購買物品的數量。我們所制造的垃圾的數量正在變成壹個大問題；我們需要更多地思考循環利用的問題。發展我們的環保回收工業、教育人們有關環保生活方式將是很有益的舉措。與此同時，我們甚至或許能夠借此創造出更多的就業機會、促進經濟發展。
