摩登家庭 S10E22: 如何走出舒適區

摩登家庭第十季最後壹集，以全家人壹年中生日作為切入點，描述壹家人的a year of birthdays是如何度過的。其中Phil作為壹個將要50歲，迎接中年危機（mid-life crisis）的老爸，決定要走出自己的舒適區（comfort zone），在50歲學習彈鋼琴，學西班牙語，學騎獨輪車。這篇文章中丸子就帶大家了解壹下“走出舒適區”在英語中怎麽表達。

1. Getting out of one‘s comfort zone 即 走出舒適區 ，在英語中，舒適區就叫做comfort zone。走出舒適區就得keep on the toes 保持緊張

劇中Phil說自己走出舒適區的原因是活到老學到老：It is never too old to learn. 所以他說In order to get out of his comfort zone and keep him on the toes, Phil decided to learn to play the piano, ?speak Spanish and ride the unicycle on his fifties' birthday. 為了走出舒適區，並保持緊張，Phil決定在五十歲生日時開始學習彈鋼琴，講西班牙語和騎獨輪車。

2.convenient

在Phil作為鋼琴老師唯壹需要刮胡子的大齡學生上臺表演時，Hailey馬上要臨盆，Phil準備放棄表演陪女兒生孩子，這是旁邊嘲笑他的男孩說“convenient”，這個convenient在這裏就表示“這個借口找的還真好”。當我們不願意打破現狀走出comfort zone，做事總找借口逃避時，convenient就表示“信手拈來很方便”的找理由。

有時在comfort zone裏待久了，還是得push自己壹把，像phil最終可以在壹眾小學生前面暢快的彈出獻給愛麗絲秒殺全場還要say hi to說他借hailey生孩子不表演溜走的小男孩的媽媽，那種感覺是很awesome的。
