whether or 與whether or not
語法上沒有區別，意思上也沒有區別，使用上有點區別，就是當要闡述的東西比較長的時候，壹般把whether or not 放在壹起，以免讓讀者連接不清，如果所說的事物比較短，就把whether or not 分開，比如：
I don't know whether he will come or not.
I don't know whether or not you have understood what chomstein explained about the usage of the phrase "whether or not".
