other的用法others永遠表示復數意義(且其後不能再接名詞)。其用法大致相當於)“other+復數名詞”，同樣地
the
others
大致相當於“the
other＋復數名詞”。如：Other

that
way.
別的人可能不這樣想。

is
cleverer
than
the
others
[the
other
students]
in
her
class.
他比班上其他學生聰明。

another的用法another壹般只能表單數，且其後接名詞也只能接單數名詞。但是若其後有數詞或
few
修飾時，則也可接復數名詞。如：We
need
another
few
chairs.
我們還需要幾把椅子。
In

weeks
it'll
be
finished.
再過兩個星期就可做完了。
5.
與
some連用與
some
對比使用時，用
others(此時與
some
同義)。如：Some
say
yes,
and
others
say
no.
