marry的意思是“和……結婚，娶，嫁”，既可以做及物動詞使用,也可以做不及物動詞使用。過去式和過去分詞married，現在分詞marrying，第三人稱單數marries，名詞形式marriage，反義詞通常使用divorce。
用法1、marry somebody=get/be married to somebody 和某人結婚（可靈活翻譯為娶、嫁）
例：Alice married Tom in September last year. = Alice was married to Tom in September last year.艾利絲和湯姆去年九月結的婚。
註意:
與某人結婚不能使用介詞with例如Tom is married with her這樣的用法是錯誤的。
用法2、marry A to B 表示父母等長輩把A許配給B或者為B娶A作媳婦。
例：Her mom didn't agree to marry her to Smith. 她媽不同意把她許配給史密斯。

用法1中的 be married to somebody可以看做是該用法的被動形式
用法3、詢問是否結婚：
例：Are you married? 妳結婚了嗎？
How long have you been married? 妳們結婚多久了？
用法4、marry用作不及物動詞時壹般與狀語聯用或者表示“自然混合”的意思。
例：They married in their thirties. 他們三十多歲結婚的。
Let the flavors marry overnight. 讓味道在壹夜之間醇和。
用法5、marry off... 將女兒嫁出或者讓兒子結婚
例：Shane is considering marrying off his daughter this year. 謝恩正在考慮讓他的女兒今年出嫁。
用法6、marry into... （通過結婚）進入...
例：She's been eager to marry into a wealthy family. 她壹直渴望嫁入豪門。
用法7、關於marry、marriage的相關俚語和諺語等：
