have been與have gone
have been to a place表示曾經去過某地，但現在不在那個地方了;have gone to a place表示已經去某地了，現在在那個地方或正在去的路上。如:

George has gone to Paris.
喬治去巴黎了。(他在巴黎或去巴黎的路上。)

妳去過美國嗎?(對方不在美國境內。)
Has he gone to Washington D.C.?
