位於赤坎區和開發區交界處，占地64公頃，是壹個集生態保護、科普教育、休閑娛樂與觀賞文化為壹體，富有熱帶園林植物景觀特色的市級綜合性中心花園。南國熱帶花園四周城市道路環繞，西臨人民大道與公安警備中心相隔，南邊文東路、北邊體育南路與海濱大道相接。按規劃院內依功能可分為六區，分別是：入口景觀區、青少年活動區、農業生態觀賞區、休閑遊賞區（主園區）、野外科普營區、南國佳果區。

百樂園是麻章區1994年建區以來在該區建設的第壹個公園。百樂園地處麻章瑞雲路與麻遂路的交匯角內的城區中心地段，總面積16畝。原來是附近居住區排放生活廢水的水塘，為下決心整治該地段，先實施了全面系統的整治。通過引渠治汙，徹底解決該片區生活汙水的排放難題。又在2005年5月動工進行綠化改造，並於當年國慶節完工。公園的建設因地制宜，把原來兩個汙水塘改建為現在的上下兩個景觀水面，湖邊建造水榭、休息廊、花架廊、小廣場，供遊人閑庭散步。現在的百樂園曲橋迂回，湖邊水榭輝映，小徑林蔭，楊柳綠影，湖水清澈，成了居民休閑娛樂的好場所。

浪漫海景 大連濱海路木棧道

大連濱海路木棧道由市政府投資建設，全長20.99公裏，起自星海灣大橋，止於海之韻公園，最寬處17.18米、最窄處0.85米，沿途設11個觀景臺，修建落差68米。木棧道通過合理的結構、美觀的造型，在陡峭處設置扶欄、觀景平臺，達到了人與自然的和諧之美。濱海路木棧道為大連這座秀美的城市鑲嵌了壹條金色的玉帶，是大連建築業和旅遊發展史上的又壹奇跡。
濱海路棧道已分別榮獲“中國最長的濱海木棧道”和“世界最長的濱海木棧道”，“2009年第十二屆大世界基尼斯最佳項目獎”。上海大世界基尼斯總部從2009年入選基尼斯之最的142個項目中評選出14個最佳項目，大連濱海路木棧道作為最佳項目之首，再次向世人展現了大連濱海木棧道的無盡魅力和迷人風采。
