勇士之歌是美國私人募捐團體為軍隊募捐使用所創作的勁曲，主創者為Sean Householder。勇士之歌有兩個版本，硬漢版是Sean Householder與Tom Reynolds專門為海軍陸戰隊創作和使用的。2010年7月，勇士之歌在youtube上發布後便引起了音樂迷軍迷的熱烈追捧，歌詞中有壹句 Devil Dog。 Devil Dog——地獄惡狗，地獄魔獸，地獄犬，神話中的地獄犬三頭龍尾，性情十分兇殘，負責守衛地獄大門和阻止亡靈離開。1918年6月，在第壹次世界大戰中，美國海軍陸戰隊在攻擊西線的貝洛森林（Belleau Wood）時名聲大作。USMC作戰勇猛，像是“Dogs from Hell”，被德國人描述為“Teufel Hunden”（魔鬼犬）。後“devil dog”作為海軍陸戰隊的綽號壹直流傳下來。
