China has a large demand for coal production and consumption. The proportion of the raw coal production takes more than 70% in primary energy source. In our country,the dependence on coal is much bigger than other countries in the world. At the summit on Global Climate Changing in 2009 , our country clearly rasied up an anticipated goal for the carbon emission reduction ,that is , by 2020,the intensity of the carbon emissions should be 40% ~50% less than 2005. Datong ,as a industral city of typical high carbon concentration , has 632 square kilometers coal area in its territory. the proven reserves are up to 376 tons. So we need to set up a stronger concept of the low carbon economy development and build a low-carbon circular economy mode.Only in this way can Both nature and economic prevail.The Tashan circular-economy park ,which belongs ot the Datong Coal Mine Group Corporation, has explored a new way of sustainable development called‘mining coal enviromentally with low carbon emission and high porduction.’.It will show us a new pattern for the transformation of Chinese coal industry in the future.
