Example的意思是例子。
example是壹個可數名詞，examples是它的復數形式，在英語例句表達中，比較常見的是eg，其實它就是example的縮寫形式，它還常與for連用，意為舉例子的意思。除此以外，example還可與形容詞、動詞這些詞性連用，它們所表達的意思也各不相同。
引申可指“樣品、範例”、“榜樣，有時還可指“警示”、“警告”等。“for example”是比較自由使用的，“For example”後面需要點上逗號。
