1、none用作代詞時,用以指前文的復數或不可數名詞或代詞,也可用以指後文的不可數名詞或代詞,還可與比較級和than連用,表示“無人”。
I wanted some string but there was none in the house.

These articles are second to none.
這些物品不遜於任何東西。
2、none獨立指人時,常用作復數,有時也可用作單數。當其作主語時,謂語動詞可用單數形式,也可用復數形式,多用於非正式場合。none of us〔you, them, etc.〕可用作單數,也可用作復數。
3、none與the和形容詞、副詞的`比較級連用,表示“毫不,毫無”; 還可與too和形容詞或副詞的原級連用,表示“不很,不太”。
4、none用作副詞時，表示決不。
My car is none the worse for the accident.
我的汽車遇到事故，但毫無損壞。
The choir sang sweetly, and none more so than the Welsh boy.
