(1) 把酒：端起酒杯。
(2) 宮闕：宮殿。
(3) 今夕是何年：古代神話傳說，天上只三日，世間已千年。古人認為天上神仙世界年月的編排與人間是不相同的。 所以作者有此壹問。
(4) 乘風歸去：駕著風，回到天上去。作者在這裏浪漫地認為自己是下凡的神仙。
(5) 瓊樓玉宇：白玉砌成的樓閣，相傳月亮上有這樣美麗建築。
(6) 不勝：忍受不住。
(7) 弄清影，在月光下起舞，自己的影子也翻動不已，仿佛自己和影子壹起嬉戲。
(8) 朱閣：朱紅色的樓閣。
(9) 綺戶：刻有紋飾門窗。
(10)照無眠：照著有心事睡不著人。

不知道天上宮殿，今年是哪年。
我想要乘禦清風歸返，又恐怕返回月宮的瓊樓玉宇，愛不住高聳九天的冷落、風寒。起舞翩翩玩賞著月下清影，歸返月殿怎比得上在人間！
轉過朱紅樓閣，月光低灑在綺窗前，照到床上人惆悵無眠。
明月不該有什麽怨恨，卻為何總在親人離別時候才圓？
人有悲歡離合的變遷，月有陰晴圓缺的轉換，這種事自古來難以周全。
但願離人能平安康健，遠隔千裏***享月色明媚皎然
