我把車停在購物中心前，然後開始擦車。
Coming my way from across the parking lot was what society would consider a bum（流浪漢）.
有個人穿過停車場向我這邊走來，社會上的人會稱他為流浪漢。
"I hope he doesn't ask me for any money," I thought.
“希望他別問我要錢，” 我心裏想。
He didn't. He came and sat on the curb（路邊） in front of the bus stop. He didn't look like he could have enough money to even ride the bus.
他沒有。他坐在公交車站前的路緣上。他看起來甚至沒有錢乘公交車。
After a few minutes he spoke, "That's a very pretty car."
幾分鐘後他開口了：“真是輛漂亮的車。”
He was ragged but he had an air of dignity.
他的衣著破破爛爛，但不妨礙他身上散發出的尊嚴。
I said "Thanks" and continued wiping off my car. He sat there quietly as I worked.
我說了句“謝謝”， 然後繼續擦我的車。我擦車時他就安靜地坐在那兒。
"Do you need any help?" I asked.
“妳需要幫助嗎？” 我問道。
He answered in three simple but profound words that I shall never forget.
他只回答了三個字，但卻十分深刻，我想我永遠不會忘記。
"Don't we all?" he said.
“誰不是？” 他說。
I was feeling high and mighty, successful and important, above a bum in the street, until those three words hit me like a shotgun. Don't we all?
我本來覺得，與街上的流浪漢相比，我更高尚、更強大、更成功，也更重要，但這三個字像壹把槍擊中了我。誰不是？
I needed help. Maybe not for a bus fare or a place to sleep, but I needed help.
我需要幫助。也許不是公交車費或睡覺的地方，但我需要幫助。
I reached in my wallet and gave him not only enough for bus fare, but enough to get a warm meal and shelter for the day.
我掏出錢包，不僅給了他公交車費，還有足夠讓他壹整天吃飽睡好的錢。
Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets.
也許這個男人只是無家可歸、在街上亂晃的陌生人。
Maybe he was more than that. Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and wise, to minister（幫助） to a soul too comfortable with himself.
也許他的身份又不僅僅是這個。也許他是被壹個偉大而智慧的力量送來，來幫助壹個過於自滿的靈魂。
Don't we all? Those three little words still ring true.
誰不是？這三個字是真理。
No matter how much you have, no matter how much you have accomplished, you need help too.
無論妳擁有多少，無論妳獲得多少成就，妳都需要幫助。
No matter how little you have, no matter how loaded you are with problems, even without money or a place to sleep, you can give help.
即使妳壹無所有，即使妳麻煩纏身，甚至是沒有錢或沒有睡覺的地方，妳都可以給予幫助。
