月13日應該是 13th, September，讀作 the thirteen of September。

在日期方面，美英的表達方式是有差別的。以日為先，月份為後，此為英國式，美國式則與此相反。
如二零零九年三月二日的寫法：March 2, 2009（美），2nd March 2009（英）。
在美式的寫法中，1st， 2nd， 3rd的st， nd， rd是不使用的。由於日期書面表達不同，讀法也不壹樣。如1987年4月20日，英式的寫法是20th April 1987，讀成the twentieth of April， nineteen eighty-seven；美式的表達是April 20,1987，則讀成April the twentieth， nineteen eighty-seven。
1998年5月6日按照英國式應寫成6/5/98，而按照美國式應寫成5/6/98；01/08/1998是英國式的1998年8月1日，按照美國的表達方式卻是1998年1月8日，美國的1998年8月1日應寫成08/01/1998。
