2. 中學階段壹般只要求掌握它三種用法：
1）vt.否定/否認,結構是：deny sth；deny doing sth = deny having done sth
如：He denied the signature.
他否認這是他的簽名.
He denied knowing anything about their plans.
= He denied having known anything about their plans.
他否認知悉他們的計劃.
2）拒絕給予 = refuse to give,結構是：deny sb sth = deny sth to sb
He denied the money to his son.
= He denied his sone the money.
他拒絕給兒子錢.
3）vt.拋棄/背棄
He has denied his party and his principles.
他背棄了他的黨和他的原則.
