艾米莉·狄金森是美國19世紀著名女詩人，其詩自20世紀80年代開始出現漢譯本以來，至今在中國內地已有廣大的讀者群。本書譯者選譯了約翰遜全集本1775首詩歌中的200首。漢譯的詩作對照嚴謹，語言優美，表達貼切，很好的表現了作者含蓄神秘、細膩唯美的詩歌風格，對於了解美國早期文學具有壹定的參考價值。本書適合於英語詩歌研究者、喜愛詩歌朗誦的讀者以及其他廣大英語文學愛好者參考閱讀。

周建新 英語語言文學專業博士，博士後 出版多部個人詩集，發表艾米莉-狄金森研究論文多篇，出版艾米莉-狄金森詩歌研究專著1部，譯著1部。研究方向：漢英詩歌對比與翻譯。已完成艾米莉-狄金森詩歌全集翻譯初稿。
